Eco-friendly design includes the complete design from the ground up and the finishing touches. It's based on these principles: recycle, reuse and sustainability.
Eco-Friendly Interior Design
When you decorate your home, you may not think about "going green" in the process. But maybe you should. These days more Interior Designers say green designs not only look great, but just might make you FEEL great.

Robin Wilson pairs with Good Housekeeping Magazine to do an eco-friendly design in a LEED-certified brownstone.
Recycling: A series of processes that include collection, separation and processing by which products and raw materials are recovered and reused in lieu of disposal as solid or liquid wastes. Commonly recycled items include cans and bottles, paper and industrial solvents. Recycling can also apply to construction materials and even buildings themselves.
Reuse: Instead of throwing something out, selling or giving away or using the materials and reconstructing a new item.
Sustainability: The concept of sustainability can be traced back to President Theodore Roosevelt who stated in 1910, "I recognize the right and duty of this generation to develop and use the natural resources of our land; but I do not recognize the right to waste them or to rob, by wasteful use, the generations that come after us." In 1987 the Unite Nations World Commision on Environment and Development (The Brundtland Commision) defined a sustainable development as one that "meets the needs of the present without compromixing the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." Sustainability has three independent dimensions relating to the environment, ecomonics and society—often referred to as the triple bottom line.
Triple Bottom Line: According to the World Business Council for Sustaninable Development, "Sustainable development involves the siumultaneous pursuit of economic prospericty, environmental quality and social equity. Companies aiming for sustainability need to perform not against a single, financial bottom line, but against [this] triple bottom line."
