Owner/operator of Jeanne DeRemer’s Beauty Shop, Jeanne received her training in the Vo-tech school where she accumulated the required hours and earned her license by the time she graduated. For the first three years, Jeanne worked in Burnzella Michael’s Beauty Shop. An opportunity presented itself and she purchased her present location where she has been for the past nineteen years.

In addition to haircuts, sets, perms, and coloring, Jeanne is one of those beauticians who seems to sense when her patrons need a joke, a hug, or a loving “insult,” all of which say “I care.”

If you need a special order hair care supply, no problem. Although Jeanne does not enter into the retail sales side of the hair care business, she will help you find what you want. When asked about any plans for the future, Jeanne said she planned to stay right where she is in her newly remodeled shop and to continue working with her clientele she so much enjoys.

Tony, Jeanne’s husband, works with the migrant education program. Their oldest son, Darris, is a senior at Wyalusing High School and plans to pursue further education in the field of music education. Nicholas, the youngest son, is a freshman this year at Wyalusing has many interests but is especially active in Boy Scouts.

In her spare time, Jeanne enjoys cake decorating, working the Band Parents organization, and is active with her church. Stop by or make an appointment. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss. Open Wednesday through Saturday by appointment only. Call 869-2509 today.
