Eb’s Market carries fresh fruits and vegetables, packaged products, and frozen items as well as an in-house bakery department. Eb’s full-service meat department services everyone, from simple orders to special meat cutting or special requests. Prepared foods such as soup, sandwiches, salads, and puddings are available in the delicatessen. You’re your special occasion, order their fruit baskets, gift baskets, or meat. Eb’s also provides delivery service for Laceyville area senior citizens.

With five full-time and four part-time employees, Eb’s Market strives to meet the goal of continuing to improve service to the customer.

When asked why Eric Eberlin went into business in Laceyville, he replied, “I grew up in the area and I really like it. We are in the country and can do what we want to yet we are only an hour from a city. Of course, too, the opportunity was here and I knew the business.”

Eric Eberlin learned the grocery market trade from Dick and Reva, Caswell. He worked for them for fifteen years learning everything from the ground up. When Dick and Reva retired eleven years ago, Eric and his wife, Carmen, purchased it. In addition to his on-the-job training, Eric has taken many training seminars (especially in the handling of meat) and has just completed a college level course in safe food handling.

Eric and Carmen’s children are a big part of their lives. Ryan, 23, is in the Air Force and pursuing a degree in accounting. Kevin, 21, is also in the Air Force and considering making it a lifetime career. Scott, 4, is a part-time “boss” at Eb’s.

When Eric is not busy, he enjoys golf and working in his garden.
