October brings a radiant glow to the Endless
Mountains of Pennsylvania with its flaming foliage, and the "Fancy
Fair" to The Oldest House in Laceyville. For two days in October you
are invited to experience the pleasure of being served a delicious,
reasonably priced lunch of homemade chili, hot soup, hot dogs or
assorted sandwiches made to order. The homemade pie for dessert will
delight you. The baked goods table will be laden with homemade cakes,
pies, breads and cookies to enjoy now or to freeze for the winter
months ahead. The jelly cupboard is overflowing with jars of homemade
jams, jellies and zucchini relish, perfect for gift giving. You will
find house plants and an array of hand crocheted, knit, sewn and
crafted items for sale. For the do-it-yourself craftsperson, we will
have a variety of dried materials, baskets and beautiful craft ribbon
by the yard. As always, our extensive selection of books and
magazines will be available in the "keeping room". Please join us at
The Oldest House "Fancy Fair" to enjoy lunch with a friend and
shopping, while at the same time supporting this treasured, local
historical landmark.
