Letter from Laceyville, PA Revitalization Committee

Laceyville is in process of receiving
a federal grant that will help refurbish our downtown business
block. We are very excited about this revitalization effort for
our community, and hope that in the future we can continue
throughout our town.
This grant will partially fund sidewalks, curbing and parking,
trees, period-style street lamps, as well as other improvements.
Although a final bid has not yet been
awarded, we have an approximate cost of $165,000.00 for the
scheduled improvements, with actual work to start – hopefully –
this fall or early spring.
Our borough has funded the cost of
design and engineering of the project, and is responsible for
raising the balance of the money. Therefore, we are offering
different levels of sponsorship that will help offset the cost to
the borough, as well as a contribution opportunity that could be
used to memorialize a family member or friend. They are as
follows:
1. Paver Bricks: These will be used
between the curb and sidewalk throughout the downtown.
2. Ornamental Street Trees: With a
Tree Sponsorship, an 8” x 8” paver brick per sponsor will be
placed near the tree with an appropriate inscription. We will
offer two sponsorships per tree.
3. Period-Style Street Lamps: We will
offer two sponsors per lamp post. At the base of each lamp, we
will have one 8” x 8” paver per sponsor, with an appropriate
inscription.
Thank you for your interest and
support in making our community one to be proud of.
